posted April 7, 2004 1:16 PM Hi, I am using the IMAP control to add a message to the sent items folder. This works 95% of the time but on the odd occasion it seems to fail for no apparent reason. I have switched the tracefile on, and whilst writing the attachment it crashes, below is a small section of the log file ----PTCP_0000000103002907d4 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="6 April 04.pdf" Content-Type: application/pdf; name="6 April 04.pdf" JVBERi0xLjMNJeLjz9MNCjE4IDAgb2JqDTw8IA0vTGluZWFyaXplZCAxIA0vTyAyMCANL0ggWyA4 NDAgMjEwIF0gDS9MIDEwMTA0MyANL0UgODQ2NjIgDS9OIDUgDS9UIDEwMDU2NSANPj4gDWVuZG9i lots of data ... Cc: BAD Protocol Error: "Unidentifiable command specified". + Ready for additional command text. Has anyone had any similar issues??. I am using Powerbuilder 9.01, and the mail server is Exchange 2000 for SBS. I am using the blocking method and waiting for the imap.blocked=FALSE until I run my next command. The timeout is 60000. Thanks Andy |

posted April 7, 2004 1:27 PM There's something that the server doesn't like. If you have a way for us to access the server and duplicate the problem, please let me know. |

posted April 8, 2004 4:55 AM Unfortunatly I cannot get you access to the email server. Would a complete version of the log file be any help? |

posted April 8, 2004 7:27 AM First try these DLL's: http://support.dart.com/downloads/DartMail-2.8.0.23.zip These were compiled but never released. If they don't work, then zip the log up and send it. |

posted April 13, 2004 1:04 PM I have spent some time today testing. It still seems to crash as before, but only when not writing to the trace file. It just returns the following error message '10060 The connection has been dropped because of a network failure or because the peer system failed to respond. Also caused when Connect, Send, Receive, Fill or Close methods are used with a Timeout parameter and the operation fails to complete within the specified number of milliseconds.' If and when I get a trace file I will email it to you. |
