posted March 31, 2004 2:50 AM Hello, I have been using the Tcp and Daemon control for a long time. Recently I start using the ping control. In the process of using it I have annoying message in windows debug window (which I use to OutputDebug string my software errors). The messages are for every query interface done on the ping control, like someone has defined _ATL_DEBUG_QI. My program doesn't defined it. you can check it by simply creating an empty vb program with a single Ping control on the form, open the windows debug window and u will see it. how can I disable these messages ..... ?? posted March 31, 2004 7:25 AM I don't see the error you are talking about with our sample app. I tried in VB6 and VB.NET. Maybe I'm not looking in the right window. Please tell me what version of VB you are using and exactly how you open this "windows debug window" |

posted April 7, 2004 9:23 AM Hi, I am using vb6, winXP. I am using an application dbgview in order to monitor messages send by applications that use the OutputDebugString function (from SDK API). I think u can use dbwin32 as well. Thanks, Roni |

posted April 7, 2004 9:41 AM You're right. We define _ATL_DEBUG_QI in the Ping code. I'll put in a request to get rid of that. We are doing an update to the Winsock kit in the next month or so, it will most likely get fixed in that. Thanks. |

posted April 7, 2004 10:34 AM hi, since we heavily depend upon the windows debug window, and since the ping control contaminate this window, I would like to know if you can just remove the _ATL_DEBUG_QI define from the code, compile it and send it to me. posted April 7, 2004 3:48 PM Unfortunately there is another unrelated issue being addressed in the same DLL that is not fixed yet so I can't give you an interim build. I would suggest that you contact Dave Harry (sales@dart.com) to discuss the available options. |
