posted March 30, 2004 5:47 PM When I send a text file to an as/400 ftp server and the file I'm sending to already exists and the text file is longer than the file on the as/400 I'll get an error such as: 426-Records written to file R00000359 in library PFCGPL have been truncated. Data in file may not be valid. 426 Data transfer ended. At this point, shouldn't I be able to send another command? It seems I have to log on again. If I issue the put command for another file right after the error there will be no response. No events fire, it's like the activex control doesn't respond to further commands. I tried to use the abortcommand method to reset but still it seems I have to log back in order to recover from the problem. |

posted March 30, 2004 7:28 PM I never saw an FTP server give a multi-line reply to an error. That's the problem. The second line is causing the FTP control to get confused. If you have the latest toolkit and have installed the latest update and it still happens, then you'll have to keep doing what you're doing. |
