Is there something special about this port?
Why was not port 7 (echo) used?
Can I change it?

Thanks

I think we just picked a port that wasn't used. You don't want to actually connect. Just getting a "connection refused" is enough to know that the machine is there.

I'm not sure why you would want to change it, but to answer your question, no, you can't.
