posted February 18, 2004 8:22 PM I distribute a software on CD that uses the ftp control. Whenever I install one one of my CDs the install program asks me if I want to keep my present file because the one on the disk is not newer. The two files are Dartftp.dll and DartSock.dll. The version on the disk and on my computer are the same version, 1.5.0.5 and 2.2.0.0 respectivly. Is this normal? |

posted February 18, 2004 10:27 PM It depends on the installation package. You'd have to contact the tech support for the installer but I can tell that with the on we use (Wise) it doesn't ask. If the dll is the same or newer, we don't overwrite it. |
