I have been playing with the FTPListView and love it, but there is one thing I can't find. The listview shows the file size, but is it possible to estimate the time it will take to download it? I want to do this before the user starts the download.

I'm using the ActiveX control in VB6.

It would be pretty hard to guess the total time without some statistics on past performance.

What I would do is calculate the average transfer rate (like the sample does) then use that to determine how much is left.

Microsoft does this when you download a file using IE.
