Is there a way to download messages from an IMAP and/or POP account from OLDEST to newest message?

Is the order in which email messages get retrieved from an IMAP account controlled by the IMAP server software (user specific inbox configuration) or is this order controllable via a PowerTCP Mail property or method?

Thanks!

If you don't specify which messages you wish to retrieve, we get all of them in message number order. It sounds like what you want to do is get the header info first, then get the messages in the order you wish, one at a time.

Tony,

Thank you for your fast response! Your advice makes sense.

For any lurkers reviewing this post: I guess my host email account is assigning message numbers in descending order? Strange but true. When I retrieve my email messages I always get my newest email messages first. Email system is Netscape's most recent version as of Dec 2003.
