Have you looked at the sample apps? All of your questions would be answered by looking at one or more of the samples.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "yes I have in the sample app you have to define the number of headers to retrieve"

Please explain.

Maybe it would help if you mentioned a specific sample by name and explained which part of it you don't understand.

I am not getting the flow of pop3 usage.

it looks like it’s all event driven..
can you give me a very basic example of pop3 usage in VB6 I just want to print message's “body” on screen. I’ll ask other questions later .

Since you posted in the Mail Tool forum, I assumed you were using the Mail Tool. Now I see that you are using PowerTCP Pro. If you have further questions, please post in the correct forum.

To answer your current question:

What you want to do is done in the sample. Please take a look at the code where the message is displayed after it's retrieved.

sorry about that, I thought mail tool was part of the PowerTCP package...

I am still not clear on how does the pop3 implementation work in PowerTCP? isn’t there some documentation online or tutorial for PowerTCP pro?

I can see it is all event based but what sequence do the events fire in, ...and exactly how do you read the messages and into what? I am so damn lost ….
