is there a way to manipulate the way the mail tool constructs the message ids used for sending email?

in particular, i'd like to remove the local ip of the computer sending the email (...@[192.168.0.1]) and replace it with something else, so that the recipient does not know my real ip.

any way to do this?

No. We do not allow a way for you to do that. You may want to check with our sales department to see what kind of custom solutions are available.

They can be reached via email at sales@dart.com or via phone at 315-790-5456

may i ask why you do not allow such a thing?

i mean everything would be ok if the internet ip address would be used. instead it always uses my lan ip address, which in corporate use you probably do not want everybody that you mail to to know.

It was never anticipated and never brought up until now. You are the first to mention it.
