posted November 30, 2003 2:30 AM If the webserver accepts a connection on port 80, but then hands off the connection to a daemon on port <>80, how does that traverse company firewalls that only allow outgoing HTTP on port 80? |

I am assuming the connection stays open longer than just to send an answer to the client - so the client can send more data. Is that correct? If so, and the client thinks it connected to port 80, how can it send to port !80? |
