Hi:

I need to send a mail with some Japanese characters in the subject. Can I do that with DartMail SMTP component?

Thanks
Rajesh

Hello Drake:

Do you have some sample code for doing it right. I have a Japanese string UTF-8 encoded. I am setting it to the subject line and I am getting "????????" in the subject line when I receive the mail. Is there any way I can set the charset for the Message Object or the Subject line?

Thanks
Raj

Hi Raj,
Sorry, we do not support UTF-8, only the iso-2022-jp charset.

Hi,
I'm trying also to use UTF-8 encoding. Any bypass / patch to overcome this problem?
Thanks
Daniel

Dear Ken,
Any idea if DartMail will have UTF-8 support in the future?

My company, Galtech Soft (www.galtechsoft.com), specialized in i18n (encoding internationalization etc.) issues.
We have a workaround for UTF-8 support to DartMail, as one of customers had problems with UTF-8.
In case DartMail is interested in, we can help you to add the UTF-8 support.
Regards,
Daniel

Hi,
When we release our native .NET Mail Tool it will support full UTF-8.
However, our current control supports UTF-8 Kanji, but no other UTF-8 sets.

Hi Daniel,
Yes, the new .NET Mail Tool is currently in development. It should be released in a few short months.
