posted November 14, 2003 4:50 AM Hi, I went through the code for project emulator in PowerTCP toolkit. Since i dont have the actual emulator right now, i was trying to connect to Microsoft telnet window. I got the error #10054. When i connect to the same machine on which tool is installed, i get the same error. Please help thanks, johyson |

posted November 14, 2003 9:03 AM Actually that error looks like the server accepted the connection, then immediately closed it. Is the server available for me to try and connect to? |

posted November 14, 2003 9:06 AM Hi, I am really sorry to tell that i cannot allow anyone to connect to the server as it is a company intranet. I am not permitted to allow this. Can you please suggest anything else? Any other Win 2000 tool with which i can try PowerTCP tool? As i dont have the actual emulator at present and that i cannot get it unless i am sure on this screen scraping tool, i want to test it against anything possible thanks, johyson. |

posted November 14, 2003 9:24 AM I don't have any public Telnet servers to give you. If the service is running on your machine you should be able to connect to it. Are you sure that you used an unmodified version of the sample? |

posted November 19, 2003 9:19 AM umm i donno whats causing this either but try giving it a specific port telnet port daytime e.t.c or try this : To open the Telnet Server Admin utility, click Start, click Run, type tlntadmn.exe, and then click OK. If you cannot open the Telnet Server Admin utility, you may need to install the Admin Tools pack. You must be logged on as a member of the Administrators group to use the Telnet Server Admin utility. You must stop and restart Telnet Server for these changes to take effect. make sure the settings are correct after that try ummm i dont know if its legal try it at your own risk telnet services from red hat or cisco they had these for there customers but i donno if they still have them as cli is something that most users avoid ! |
