Topic: SecureTCP Error event not firing

Hello,

I've written a client server socket app using the SecureTCP and SecureServer objects. It works fine in most circumstances but when the client is running on our NT4 test pc the Error event doesn't fire when the connection is broken (eg. disconnect the network cable).

I've checked that the KeepAlive registry parameters are set correctly, they are as follows (on server and client):

KeepAliveInterval      200ms
KeepAliveTime        2000ms
TcpMaxDataRetransmissions  5

The server receives the Error event ok but the client doesn't. Any ideas why this might be?

Thanks in advance.

Neil

Sounds like you did everything right. Are you sure you rebooted?

Thanks for the quick response.

I've just rebooted again to make sure and the problem still remains.

Next chance I get, I'll try this on an NT4 machine and let you know what happened.

It's ok, I think the problem is in my code.

It works fine if the client uses multiple sockets but gets stuck if it only uses one.

Thanks for your help anyway.
