I've written an ActiveX dll that uses the DartSecureFTP component. In the initialisation phase, it first obtains a certificate (given the issuer and serial number) and then logs in to the server.

When I run the component (using a test exe) on my computer (licensed), it all works fine. However, when I try to distribute it to any other machine, it obtains the certificate OK but then hangs during the Login call. I've even tried copying the code out of the dll into an exe and running that, but the problem still occurs.

I'm assuming that I've got something wrong in my distribution, but I don't know what. The components that I am delivering are:

DartCertificate.dll v2.8.0.4
DartFtp.dll v1.8.0.9
DartSecure2.dll v1.8.0.6
DartSecureFtp.dll v2.8.0.5
Dartsock.dll v2.8.0.8

Any suggestions?

Does the sample listview app "hang" as well? Is there ever any error message?

I have now found the problem - it was to do with a dodgy certificate. Thanks anyway for your help.
