posted September 3, 2003 12:26 PM Hi, We are using the dartsock.dll inside an OCX component that an application of ours is using. Every so often, the application dies for no apparent reason. When I say die, it literally does, no errors, just closes. when I try and load the program inside VB, and the same problem happens, I get this from the debug info : AppName: vb6.exe AppVer: 6.0.81.76 ModName: dartsock.dll ModVer: 2.8.0.8 Offset: 00012eb2 When it's running as a compiled app, on a win2003 server, this is logged via Dr. Watson into the event log : The application, C:\PAM V2\projPAM1.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 09/03/2003 @ 06:12:56.585 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 10012EB2 (DARTSOCK!DllUnregisterServer) Can anyone shed any light as to why this might happen? Best Regards Chris |

posted September 3, 2003 12:32 PM You have to determine what is happening in your program prior to the error. Something is getting passed into our DLL that the DLL doesn't like. Try to determine what the last thing done was, then try to figure out a way to recreate the problem at will. |
