posted August 28, 2003 2:14 PM We are experiencing a problem with the mail tool where in Exchange 5.5, everything is fine, but when running our app in an environment that uses Exchange 2000, we experience word wrapping. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong and what we can do to correct this? |

posted August 28, 2003 2:19 PM Let's see what's different. First send an identical message to both servers. Next, use Outlook Express to get the message from both servers. Now, save the messages as exch5.eml and exch2000.eml Please zip those two emails into a zip file and send them to support@dart.com with "Topic 3424" in the subject. |

posted September 3, 2003 1:49 PM Thanks, we got the files. I have loaded both files into a message object and I see no differences. Please describe what you see that is different in the two messages. |

posted September 3, 2003 3:09 PM I just sent two text files that are created after the emails are processed that show where the word wrapping is occurring. |

posted September 3, 2003 3:32 PM How were those text files created? Please define exactly what you mean by "after the emails are processed". Processed by what? |

posted September 4, 2003 9:32 AM Did you receive the email that contained the VB module that shows how we are processing emails yesterday? |

posted September 4, 2003 9:52 AM Yes, I did. Unfortunately I am not able to analyze code of that complexity without Elite support. Let's try to simplify this. When I load the message that you sent into a message object, then look at the text property of the message object, I don't see any wrapping problems. Please try that and see what happens for you. |

posted September 4, 2003 10:37 AM We don't see the word wrapping here either, but we are running Exchange 5.5. It's one of our clients that is having the problem when running Exchange 2000. It's a possibility that they may not have something set correctly on their server which is causing the problem, but we need to prove to them first that it isn't our app. Are you aware of any settings in Exchange 2000 which would cause this problem? |
