We are currently running an application using the Telnet and TCP tools on a windows 98 SE operating system.

AS the O.S. is coming to the end of its life we have been asked to connect via a Windows 2000 client or NT4 Client or Windows XP. For security reasons we want to offer our clients choice of all three.
Questions 1) All all versions of O.S. supported
     2) what is needed in terms of compilation or distribution for each O.S.
     3) Any suggestions/guidance/pitfalls in coverting for use under these O.S's.
We have not downloaded a new version of your tools for over 2 years such is the reliability we have not wanted to change, Our environment is currently C++builder 5

Thanks

Distribution is covered in the online help, so I won't provide details here. Just search for "Distribution" in the help file.

Regarding different OS's, once you move away from the older OS's your system files will be at a higher level then we require and all you will need to do is install our DLL's.

Hi Tony
Thanks for the prompt reply as ever. I must be a little dense at the moment as I didnt really understand the online help text. Ive installed ME and 9x versions OK my query really was about 2000 and XP. The version I have only mentions 2000 and says no system files are required (Purchased 2000 last downloaded early 2001).

As later version of 2000 and XP have come out since then ,does this mean the compiled software I have is compatible with 2000 and XP just by installing your DLL's, I am only using TELNET and TCP Scocket connections.

The software is compiled under Borland C++ builder 5.

Kindest Regards
