posted July 15, 2003 10:04 AM In an implementation I am working on, the component fails on the "ftp1.STORE" method. It errors out and returns the following message: "The connection has been dropped because of a network failure or because the peer system failed to respond. Also caused when Connect, Send, Receive, Fill or Close methods are used with a Timeout parameter and the operation fails to complete within the specified number of milliseconds." I talked briefly with the network administrator and he says the problem is that he is blocking Ports 1024 and higher. I have set the "LocalDataPort" setting to 20. However I still have the same problem. ANyone have an idea why? Thanks for any Help. |

posted July 17, 2003 10:41 AM Set the LocalDataPort property to a range like 500-1000 and see what happens. If that doesn't work try changing the passive setting. |

posted July 17, 2003 11:47 AM I had believed that the Network was using a firewall. It was not. Setting the PASSIVE setting to false did the trick. Thanks. |
