posted June 17, 2003 8:58 AM My WebTool-based application runs fine on the development machine where Webtool was originally installed and licensed. However, when attempting to distribute it to other machines, the following message appears: "A license for the PowerTCP Http component was not found on this machine". Have reviewed the posts here, but because I'm not using one of the visual environments used my most of your users, they don't seem to be applicable. (I'm using xbase++). I've moved Dartsock.dll and dartweb.dll to the target machine and registered them with regsvr32. Any suggestions? Many thanks, |

posted June 17, 2003 12:41 PM Hi, If your environment has an early-binding method of instantiating the controls, you should first try that (for example, in VB, you can use Set/New, instead of CreateObject). Otherwise, you probably have to use the scripting alternative, which involves adding your serial number to the registry of the machine hosting the app. The specifics are outlined on the Distribution page of the help file, under the heading "Distribution Under IIS." -ken |
