posted June 3, 2003 11:55 AM I have bought the registered version. All I am doing is using the control to put a file to an FTP server from within the Access application. The only machine that does not go into trial mode is the machine on which it was developed. How do I make it so that the client is distributable? |

posted June 4, 2003 9:14 AM Hi, If you have Access XP, you may be able to delete the control that was added while in trial, and add a new one to the project. However, with older versions of Access, the trial license gets cached when the control is added to a form. Unfortunately, the only way to rememdy this is to start a new database, and use a licensed control. The other option is to dynamically instantiate the control in code. This also requires you to place your serial number in the registry of any machine hosting your database. There is more information on this in the latest version of the help file, under the "Microsoft Access" page in the "Development Environment Information" book. -ken |
