posted May 14, 2003 12:49 PM We are currently trying to download files from an ftp site and they appear to be truncated at 32k. Is there any kind of setting that would be causing this kind of trouble. The control isn't indicating any sort of problem that we can see right now. |

posted May 15, 2003 10:53 AM Hi, No, there is no such setting. Does this happen with the Listview sample? Does it happen when Passive is both true and false? Does this happen when downloading files from other servers? Does this happen with other clients, when connecting to this particular server? Thanks, -ken |

posted May 15, 2003 1:00 PM Just to clarify, the truncation occurs using the Store command to send a file to an FTP Server (IIS 4.0). The Store command always returns a status indicating that there were no errors. Using the same software, the truncation occurs over a private WAN to the FTP Server, but not when going over the Internet to the same FTP Server. When going over the WAN, using Microsoft's FTP console client, the file transmits successfully with no truncation. We have not tried the ListView example and we have only tried with Passive set to false. Wouldn't all transmissions fail if the Passive property were wrong? |

posted May 15, 2003 1:03 PM The version of the dartFTP.dll we are using is 1.5.0.0 I didn't see any related bug fixes in the more recent versions. |

posted May 16, 2003 9:34 AM Hi, Please get the latest version of the dlls, and try it with the Listview sample (something I know should work). Most servers support both PASV and PORT transfers, so either should work. Thanks, -ken |
