posted May 13, 2003 1:57 PM Hello I'm experiencing inapropriate timeouts with the FTP control. We're using the Power TCP FTP Active-X tool in a PowerBuilder environment. I've dropped the control on a window as specified in the documentation and as I understood it, the default timeout is 30 seconds. I originally left this at its default, but a great many users reported getting the following error: ErrorCode 10060: Timed Out This happened while the ftp server was running fine and it seemed to happen sooner than thirty seconds after the ftp connection was attempted. My solution to this was to change the the timeout proprty to 15 minutes in the objects constructor event(this.object.Timeout = 900000). Again, users continue to get the timeout errors, and they get them much sooner than the timeout period specified. During this whole time, there has been no disruption in the ftp service, so I'm baffled as to how to fix this I've also had a few users report the error 10051:Network is unreachable, when the network and ftpo service were running fine Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated!
