Is it possible for the PowerTCP SSL components to support "upward negotiation" from a non-secure channel to a secure channel? I'm working on an SMTP implementation, which needs to start out as a non-encrypted plain channel, and once the proper command sequence is entered, we need to start the TLS/SSL negotiation process, and enter a secure channel.

Is it possible to initalize the SslStream ontop of an already connected (and used) TcpStream? I'd be greatly interested in any details you can provide.

Thanks.

Hi,
With the next release of the SslSockets Tool, it will be possible to switch the SecureProtocol property to a secure setting after connecting non-securely.

The new release can be expected in the next few weeks.
