posted April 14, 2003 12:31 PM Is it possible for the PowerTCP SSL components to support "upward negotiation" from a non-secure channel to a secure channel? I'm working on an SMTP implementation, which needs to start out as a non-encrypted plain channel, and once the proper command sequence is entered, we need to start the TLS/SSL negotiation process, and enter a secure channel. Is it possible to initalize the SslStream ontop of an already connected (and used) TcpStream? I'd be greatly interested in any details you can provide. Thanks. |

posted April 16, 2003 11:15 AM Hi, With the next release of the SslSockets Tool, it will be possible to switch the SecureProtocol property to a secure setting after connecting non-securely. The new release can be expected in the next few weeks. -ken |
