posted November 18, 2002 2:23 PM Hi , I have been using the PowerTCP FTP for .NEt trial version. I recently bought the control, registered it and tried to use it, but I get the error that the trial license has expired. So I uninstalled the control and reinstalled it, registered it and then again refereenced it in my app. But Still gives the same error. What might the problem. Regards Mohammed Amin |

posted November 18, 2002 3:29 PM Hi Mohammed, Un-installing the control, re-referencing it, etc - all that is unnecessary. After licensing the machine, all that is required to go from a trial app to a licensed one, is to Rebuild the project (Pressing "Start" to execute the app within the development environment is not enough). -ken |

posted May 9, 2003 2:21 PM Oops. My faux pas. I realized my error. I DID register the PowerTCP Secure FTP for .NET component but I found that there was an errant FTP component that I had evaluated a while back that I thought I had removed but ws still lingering about. The discrepancy in the company name didn't even occur to me for a while because I was working with the DART version and so that one was on my mind. After purging the other component off my system, everything seems to work alright now. Just wanted to apologize. |
