posted July 18, 2002 2:53 PM I'm using the mail tool in an application that parses out the body of an email to populate a database. About every 1 to 2 weeks, we get an error "The object invoked has disconnected from its clients". The code errors on the ".Get msgContent" function. If we remove the "bad" message, the application runs fine. If the "bad" message is resent, the error occurs again. Do you know why this could be happening and if there is anything that can be done to resolve it? |

posted July 18, 2002 3:08 PM This is only occurring with a particular mail message? |

posted July 18, 2002 3:22 PM It's happened with approximately 5 different emails we have received from one of our clients. Each time, we have had the client resend the email and it errors again. Would it be possible to send an email that produces the error to you to see if you get the same results? |

posted July 18, 2002 3:33 PM I'm going to see if I can have our client send it to you directly because their email is formatted differently than my company's. The from address will be "cschmidt@diggershotline.com". |

posted July 30, 2002 3:07 PM Sorry for the long wait. We were sent a mail from you today with the subject: Ticket: 8012991 This seems to be the only one that will crash. It seems that it is "missing" a CR at the end of the email. This isn't supposed to cause a crash but it does. It also will skip the last line if there isn't a CRLF at the end of it. I've written up the issue. Could I have your email address to add as a reference so you will be notified of the bug fix ASAP. Sorry for the trouble. Also, I'm using Mail ver. 2.2.0.12. Run the update if you are out of date http://www.dart.com/downloads/update.exe |
