I am getting this error (12152) periodically on a regular basis from different sites randomly (what I mean is there is not 1 day that I don't get this error from atleast 1 site).

A common tread in this error is MOST (was all except that today I got one in the morning) happens at night (between midnight and 8am).

What could be causing this error, especially at night (well it's night where we are and the sites we are contacting).

This not isolated to one specific site.

Any ideas why I would be getting 12152s here and there, now and then?

Thanks

This is a long shot, but is it possible that all the servers that are causing the error are running the same software?

What does the server response look like when you get the error?

This will not be of great help:

No the servers we are calling are running different OSs (NT, Unix) and different Web Servers as in IIS, Netscape Server and whatever on Unix.

The only common thing in all of this is our server which is a Windows 2000 Server and we are passing through 2 to 3 internal firewalls before we get out of our network.

I have no idea what the response is when we get the 12152 because, like I said, it happens mostly at night and randomly. We've tried sniffing the packets but there's too much traffic on that server.

Thanks

We need to know how to reproduce your problem excatly in order to fix it. In this case it seems very hard to do that. Would it be possible to catch the error and continue? The invalid server reponse error is what it says it is, if a message comes in with bad headers, or whatever, so I'm not sure how much we can do to fix it. Are you experiencing this behavior with other software? Our recommendation would be to catch the error and continue.
