posted May 28, 2002 8:01 AM We have introduced the zip object into an existing program that was working fine. The first execution works fine, subsequent execution give a 'catastrophic error' message in the VB error object when using ODBC. Is there a problem in using the zip object with ODBC and record sets? The environment is VB7 on w2k server. |

posted May 28, 2002 1:12 PM Hi, If you are using the latest dlls, you can send us a very simple VB project (zipped) that has isolated and demonstrates the problem, and we'll take a look. Please keep the project as sparse as possible. If the problem lies with the control, the DB stuff is extraneous, and its inclusion should not be necessary to reproduce the error. Thanks, -ken |

posted May 29, 2002 6:45 AM Thanks for the response. We are using the latest dll's downloaded from the web. This program runs on a web server and is called from an asp page. All of this may have a bearing on the error. Stripping this down to a simple project may not reproduce the error. The program worked fine before intoducing the zip module. We will write a similar app but much smaller and see if the problem can be reproduced. Are you confirming that no similar issues have been reported on this object? |
