Hi,

I have VBScript code that is trying to do this:

   DartFTP.TimeOut = <value>
   DartFTP.NameList sFileName

On one machine, this works fine. On another machine, I receive the timeout error.

On both machines, I'm running the same scripts, so the values for the timeout and filename are the same. The two client machines are also hitting the same FTP server (not at the same time), and they are both similarly set up (Win2000 Professional, SP2, SRP1, same domains, same network, both using 1.7.00 of DartFtp.dll).

Any ideas for what things I can look for on the two client machines to find a relevant difference that could cause this behavior?

Thanks for any help.

One of the clients is behind a firewall. Try setting Passive to true and see what happens.

Hope this helps!

Tony,

Thanks for the quick response. However, there are no firewalls between the machines involved, and setting the .Passive attribute to True or False seems to have no effect on the behavior I'm seeing.

Any other ideas?

Much appreciated.
