When using an FTP object to a local RS6000 machine, I am able to download files as expected, but when I try to download files from another machine located in what we call the DMZ (our area between the Internet and our firewall), the FTP object says it downloaded the file correctly (no errors thrown, etc.), but the local file isnt being written to the local disk! I use BulletProff FTP to upload and view the files on the DMZ server, so I know the server is OK. What could the problem with this be? I use your COM FTP object on this same exact server dozens of times every day with no issues in other projects. I tried setting and not setting passive mode as well to no avail. Thanks!

Hi,
Please get the update:
http://www.dart.com/downloads/update.exe
and let me know if the problem persists, or if it now gives you an error.
Thanks,

I installed the update and rebooted. Before I rebooted I noticed the version # for the .NET tools was 1.0.0. (I am working in .NET for this project). After rebooting it was still 1.0.0.

I removed the reference, readded the reference to the TCP and FTP objects. The problem is still there (no errors, no local files). I can get you OS versions and server versions if you like or run any tests to pin this down if needed. Thanks!

Hi,
Oh wow, sorry about that, I didn't realize you were asking about the .Net component.
Can you use the Trace method of the Ax control, and create a trace with the .Net component (see the ListView Trace event for example code), and send them both to support@dart.com?
Thanks,

I am a bit lost here. What is the Ax control? I cant seem to find it nor can I find the example you mention. I did a search in the .NET docs for ListView Trace as well as searching your .NET samples.

Hi,
Sorry, I meant our Active X control from the Ftp Tool, which you said you have used with success.
As far as the sample, we have two versions (VB.NET and C#) of the ListView Client sample that ship with out Ftp Objects product (look in your start menu). You should see a Trace Event in the sample.
