AuthorForum: PowerTCP Zip Compression for ActiveX
Topic: Password OK; Spanning OK; Password+Spanning not OK
N/A posted March 27, 2002 5:13 PM

Hi,

Can anyone help me out here and tell me where I'm going wrong?

I CAN unzip a file that was zipped with a password; I CAN unzip a file that was zipped using Spanning; but I CANNOT unzip up a zipfile that uses both password AND Spanning.

I get either error #13001 (zipImproperZipFile) "The file is not identified as a compliant zip file" or, latterly, error #13009 (zipInvalidPassword) "The password given is invalid. This error will on rare occasion be replaced by zipInvalidZipFile".

I tried posting sample code to the forum but it my posting was rejected for being too long. I can supply source code to any interested party via e-mail.

Anyone got any ideas?

- Phil

Hi Phil,
It does not look like something you are doing, and I've issued a report to the development staff on this behavior.
If you email to support@dart.com, we can send you a beta to try when the issue has been addressed.
