posted March 12, 2002 7:21 AM Hi: I´ve a problem with a Message without text. The load method is right, but when all fields are blanks (to,from,x-receiver,...). If I add other dot at the bottom of ".eml", the fields are filled. This is a problem because SMTP protocol allows a message without "data". Tks in advanced. |

posted March 12, 2002 4:49 PM Hi, I'm sorry, I do not understand the problem. When a message is loaded into a Message object, certain headers are automatically added if they are absent (for example, Message-Id). What exactly are you trying to do? Can you elaborate on your question? Thanks, -ken K M Drake Dart Tech Support |

posted March 13, 2002 5:54 AM I try to explain it: If you´ve a message without body like a next sample (in other words after headers you have a single carriage return), and you use the object dart message and you call the method load with this message, the method seems going OK, but all the fields are empty. x-sender: pre@telcoserver2 x-receiver: prueba@telcoserver2 Received: from prueba ([152.62.72.57]) by telcoserver2.is.local.europe.dg.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.5.1877.197.19); Wed, 13 Mar 2002 11:25:27 +0100 From: pre@telcoserver2 Bcc: Return-Path: pre@telcoserver2 Message-ID: <001b62725100d32TELCOSERVER2@telcoserver2.is.local.europe.dg.com> Date: 13 Mar 2002 11:25:37 +0100 I remember you the sintax of rfc822 standard: message = fields *( CRLF *text ) In other words, a message can being without CLRF and without body. Tks in Advanced. |

posted March 13, 2002 11:00 AM Hi, The standard calls for the Headers, followed by a null line, followed by the Body. You can have an empty body, but the null line is still required. Otherwise, the file will not be recognized as a valid message, and the Message object will not be filled with its contents. -ken K M Drake Dart Tech Support |
