posted February 18, 2002 4:55 PM I am getting this error very sporadically, it only happens about 1 out of 6 times, and it blows up on FtpObj.Login line of code. I don't know how to fix it or what really is going wrong. The error is this: Dart.Tcp.1 error '800a2746' The virtual circuit was reset by the remote side executing a "hard" or "abortive" close. This normally results if the peer application on the remote host is suddenly stopped, the host is rebooted, or the remote host used a "hard close". This error may also result if a connection was broken due to "keep-alive" activity detecting a failure. This error is also be reported under Windows 2000 when a UDP packet is sent to a host with no service open on the specified port. /mailadmin/default.asp, line 70 Thanks, Keith |

posted February 18, 2002 5:16 PM Hi Keith, You will see that error when the server abruptly severs the connection. You should look into why the server is doing this. You can also find out exactly when during the login this is occurring, by using the Trace method to create a log file. -ken K M Drake Dart Tech Support |
