posted September 25, 2001 2:38 PM A few months ago, My VBA/Access 2000 runtime app was experiencing inconsistent results using the Post method of the Web Tool. The control was erroneously adding random characters to the command. You requested me to update to the latest version of tool (1.0.43.6), which contained fixes to this problem. One of my customers is only getting a partial return of data from a procedure that uses the Post method of the tool. They are running Win 98. I am running Win 95 and performed the exact same procedure from my machine and it works fine. Any ideas how to better diagnose this problem? Does this version still have bugs that could be causing this problem? Thank you for your help! |

posted September 25, 2001 4:34 PM Hi Jim, After confirming that the customer is using the same dll versions as you, I would start by examining the communication between the control and the server. How was your session different? Unfortunately, the Http control does not have a Trace method, so you would have to examine the requests and responses via another means (for example, a protocol sniffer). Also, to eliminate extraneous factors, I would try the Post with the simplest project possible. If the simple project works, it is likely something else within the code is to blame. -ken K M Drake Dart Tech Support |
