| N/A | posted August 30, 2001 5:13 PM Hi! I am sending a few HEAD-requests to a proxy server and I ran into a few problems: a) Can I somehow disable those "Pragma: no-cache" header fields in a HEAD-Request? I don't see where they come from but they are there ... b) Can Header Fields be edited at all for a HEAD-Request? What if I need more than username/password for them? Thanks! Ts |

posted August 31, 2001 10:37 AM Hi Ts, Unfortunately, it's not possible to access the Request Headers with the Web Control. The protocol actually specifies that the Pragma Header must be added to a request through a proxy, which is why it is added automatically by the control. If you want more flexibility than the Web Control provides, I recommend looking at the WebAsp control of the Web Enterprise Tool, which (among other benefits) does allow you access to the Request Headers. -ken K M Drake Dart Tech Support |
