posted August 29, 2001 12:37 PM I am using PowerTcp FTP tool in Powerbuilder 6.5 and Windows 2000. My app requires that a window opens, nlist's a server's directory and retrieves those files locally, then uploads some file from a local directory to the server and then closes a window automatically without user intervention. I am using the nlist command in the OnConnect event. Then in the OnRecv even I am parsing the reply from the server to get the file names. As I get the filenames I hold them in a temp array and then issue a Retrieve command on items in the array to retrieve the files locally. I know that if I close my window in this event, some of the files will not have been yet retrieved. Can somebody please suggest a of finding out when these downloads are complete from the server so that based on that condition I can close my window automatically. All help will be greatly appreciated. Regards Hasan Kasamali hasan.kasamali@ekwilliams.co.uk |

posted August 29, 2001 1:02 PM Hi, This is a question about PowerTCP Professional and should be in the Professional Toolkit folder. I recommend looking at the Ftp Client sample that ships with the Toolkit to see how we determine when a transfer has completed. -ken K M Drake Dart Tech Support |
