We're evaluating Dart WebToll for an app we're developing here in Kenya. Our test app works fine on a Win98 machine. Our final test platform on Win95b doesn't work and a HTTP GET times out. Have tried installing IE 5.5 with no change. Win95 DCOM 1.3 has been installed. Any ideas?

It works fine in all my tests. It's probably a network / firewall configuration problem.

From further testing, it looks like it is being caused by oleaut32.dll

When that is replaced with the one from our Win98 development system and self-registered during an installation the system works OK.

We are doing some further tests today to determine if just replacing the file works and also to confirm if as we suspect the problem occurs on Win95 b and c but not a.

You probably did not run the update for DCOM95 v1.3 as covered in the Online Help.

We did that firsts and it seemed to make no differece. Now we have narrowed things down a bit in terms of the specific dll and version we will do some more detailed testing once we get a spare moment, but we have a work around for current purposes.
